Happy Born Day!
It’s never just another day for me. It’s not about cake and candles. It’s more than that. For me, my birthday is an opportunity to celebrate the fact that my Mom carried me to term, gave birth and she and my Dad raised me to the best of their ability to be here today.
I know that the birthday was officially on August 7, but guess what it could have turned out differently. I didn’t have to be here posting this, but I am.
To every single person reading this, when your day comes it is an opportunity for you to give thanks. Yes, I know we are to be thankful every day, but a birthday marks another year you’re given the opportunity to set goals, dream, celebrate with those you love.
So go and do something on your day. Celebrate others on their day. We have enough going on to distract, discourage and disappoint us and you don’t even have to look very far. When we lift each other up together, we give each other hope. Hope is something we all need now, don’t you agree?
