Mother’s Day is an event celebrated around the globe to honor women who gave birthed and nurtured children. You may not have physically given birth to a child but you have cared for, fed and spiritually cared for children of all ages. You are also included in this amazing group of women. I believe Mothers are to be celebrated not so much because of their ability to carry a child and release them into this world but also women who have extended unconditional love to a child through mentoring, listening and understanding the heart-cry of many.
We salute every mother who has sat up late nights with a sick child and virtually put the needs of their children before their own. Good mothers are becoming a remnant and yet I know there are many out there.
So from one mother to all of you who are reading this – Happy Mother’s Day.
