Phillip Yancey Prayer Breakfast

On Wednesday July 9, 2008, Patricia had the priveledge of ministering as guest soloist at the Greater Toronto Prayer Breakfast at Agincourt Pentecostal Church in Toronto.

This very special event featured the profilic Christian author, Philip Yancey, who gave a talk on the subject of prayer as it relates to his latest book Prayer: Does It Really Make Any Difference.

One of the finer points of his talk that left an impact with the audience was his friend close friends definition of prayer: being available to what God wants done in the world. He explains that often times we approach prayer as what God can do for us.  Yancey suggests that we approach prayer with the hope of God opening our eyes to what is going on in the world — constantly asking the question to God “is there anyone out there who needs me?”
